Bengaluru-headquartered Oben Electric has taken another significant step in India’s electric mobility journey with the launch of the Rorr EVO, a next-generation electric motorcycle that blends performance, intelligent technology and everyday practicality. Developed and manufactured entirely in Bengaluru, the Rorr EVO reflects the company’s commitment to building indigenous electric mobility solutions while strengthening Karnataka’s position as a leading hub for EV innovation and manufacturing. The launch has received an encouraging market response, with the company reporting more than 25,000 bookings within just 15 days. Riding on this momentum, Oben expects Karnataka to contribute nearly 30 percent of total Rorr EVO sales during FY26, highlighting the state’s growing appetite for premium electric motorcycles.
Designed for Modern Urban Riders
The Oben Rorr EVO has been introduced at an attractive introductory ex-showroom price of ₹99,999 for the first batch of customers, after which the motorcycle will retail at approximately ₹1.25 lakh ex-showroom. Customers can reserve the motorcycle by paying a booking amount of ₹777.The motorcycle features a contemporary streetfighter-inspired design that combines aggressive styling with practical ergonomics. Its front profile is characterised by distinctive V-shaped LED daytime running lights positioned above a circular LED headlamp, giving the motorcycle a unique and futuristic appearance. Sculpted tank extensions, exposed body elements and sharp body panels further enhance its muscular road presence, while the slim stepped seat contributes to both comfort and sporty aesthetics.
Despite its performance-oriented styling, the Rorr EVO has been engineered with daily usability in mind. A seat height of 780 mm makes the motorcycle accessible to a wide range of riders, while the 200 mm ground clearance ensures better adaptability across varying Indian road conditions. The motorcycle also offers a generous 680 mm long seat and 10 litres of integrated storage space, including under-seat and tank-mounted compartments, adding practicality for urban commuting.

Powering the Rorr EVO is a 3.4 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack, paired with an in-house developed electric motor that reflects Oben’s focus on indigenous engineering and component development. The electric powertrain delivers 9 kW of peak power along with 250 Nm of wheel torque, providing quick acceleration and responsive performance suitable for both city riding and highway cruising. According to the company, the motorcycle delivers an IDC-certified riding range of 180 kilometres on a single charge, placing it among the longer-range electric motorcycles available in its segment. The Rorr EVO can achieve a top speed of 110 km/h, while accelerating from 0 to 40 km/h in approximately three seconds, making it capable of handling urban traffic with ease. Charging convenience has also been prioritised. The battery supports fast charging, allowing it to recharge from 0 to 80 percent in just 90 minutes using a compatible fast charger. To further reassure buyers, Oben provides an eight-year warranty on the battery pack, underlining confidence in its long-term reliability and durability.
Smart Technology at the Core
One of the defining aspects of the Rorr EVO is its emphasis on intelligent connectivity and digital integration. The motorcycle is equipped with a 5-inch full-colour TFT display that provides riders with essential information while supporting smartphone connectivity. Navigation, call and message alerts, music controls and real-time ride data are all integrated into the display, creating a seamless riding experience. The motorcycle also incorporates advanced connected features such as geo-fencing, theft alerts, vehicle tracking through the “Find My Bike” function, over-the-air software updates and automatic fall detection with emergency SOS support via the companion mobile application. A standout innovation is Oben’s SmartIQ system, an AI-powered ride optimisation technology that continuously analyses riding patterns in real time. By adapting power delivery and efficiency according to rider behaviour and road conditions, the system is designed to improve overall energy efficiency and extend riding range by as much as 15 percent, depending on usage conditions.

Beyond performance and connectivity, the Rorr EVO has been engineered with rider safety and handling in mind. The motorcycle employs telescopic front suspension and a rear monoshock setup, offering balanced ride quality across urban roads and uneven surfaces. Disc brakes at both the front and rear ensure dependable stopping performance, while electronic rider-assistance features enhance confidence during everyday riding. The motorcycle includes Unified Brake Assist (UBA), a Driver Alert System (DAS) and a reverse mode, making low-speed manoeuvring and parking significantly easier in congested city environments.

Founded in 2020, Oben Electric has adopted a vertically integrated manufacturing approach, designing and producing not only its motorcycles but also critical EV components including battery systems, electric motors and vehicle control units. This strategy enables the company to maintain tighter quality control while accelerating technological innovation. Its 3.5-acre manufacturing facility in Bengaluru currently has an annual production capacity of 100,000 motorcycles, providing a strong foundation for future expansion as demand for electric two-wheelers continues to rise across India.
Expanding Across the Country
Oben Electric has steadily expanded its presence nationwide. The company sold approximately 4,500 motorcycles during FY26, taking cumulative sales to more than 6,000 units. It currently operates around 150 showrooms across 18 states, including 10 showrooms in Karnataka. Looking ahead, the company plans to more than double its retail network by expanding to 350 showrooms across India by the end of the year, enabling wider customer access and strengthening after-sales support as electric vehicle adoption accelerates.
